The Truth Behind the Magnesium Madness on TikTok

Magnesium is the latest obsession on TikTok. The hashtag #magnesium has amassed over 1 billion views, including videos focused on the best and worst magnesium supplements to buy. TikTokers are also enthusiastically extolling the benefits of magnesium – especially related to stress, anxiety, brain health and sleep.

As far as other health trends on social media, this isn’t the worst of them. But it’s important not to jump on the magnesium bandwagon and begin taking large doses of magnesium supplements just because you were swayed by a TikTok influencer.

    Thanks for shedding light on another Tik-Tok trend. Magnesium is important, but better to get it from food first!
